Hi guys, I realize I haven’t posted on this blog in a year. So I am very sorry to any of you who have been just dying to get an update. The first two shows of the year, Allentown and EA Art Festival were great. Even though the East Aurora Art Festival was a little bit of a washout the turn out was still great, which I am very thankful for. So thank you to everyone who came out to either of the two shows. This weekend is the Made in The Adk show! Very excited about it. The show was very successful for me last year so I am thrilled to be back again this year. I will have some new artwork with me for you all to check out such as a few Adk scenes and night landscape scenes. The show will be at The Adirondack Experience, formerly known as the Adirondack Museum on Saturday July, 21st from 10:00 am- 5:00 pm. For more information visit their website here. For even more of an update. I recently discovered the Bloomingdale Bog Trail in the Adirondacks. The trail has two separate entrances. The south entrance is marked on Rt. 86 by a dark cut out of a man on a tractor and the north is along Rt. 55. The Bloomingdale bog is a great place to go birding and to see lots of wildlife. I highly recommend this place. Here are some photos of the birds I saw. Birds I saw include some Grey Jays that were eating right out of our hand, a few Cedar Waxwings, a Hooded Merganser, a Common Yellowthroat, a few Thrushes, a White-throated Sparrow, a hawk carrying its prey and a female Scarlet Tanager.
Above is the Adirondack Experience (formerly called The Adirondack Museum). Hi everyone! Heading up to the Adirondacks this weekend for the Made in the ADK show. Its going to be held at The Adirondack Experience. It is on Saturday July, 22 from 10-5. If your going to be in the area please stop by there will be about 70 artists at the show. My booth number is 29. For more information about the show visit the Adirondack Experience website here. Below are the newest paintings I've created since our last show.
This Years Show ScheduleThe following shows are where you will be able to find me this year.

There will be a trolley available to take you to the various artists located in the village. Hope you all can come!
~Kim Hi everyone, I know I haven’t posted in a really long time but I would like to give you a quick update. I am in the process of applying for this years shows. So far I’ve applied for Allentown Art Festival, Sonnenberg Gardens Arts at the Gardens, the East Aurora Art Society June Show, and The Wild America Nature Festival. The Wild America Nature Festival will be hosted by the Roger Tory Peterson Institute of Natural History (RTPI) and Panama Rocks Scenic Park.
New PaintingThis is a watercolor painting time-lapse of a Rose-Breasted Grosbeak. This painting is done on Arches hot press watercolor paper. I mainly use Qor and M. Graham watercolor paints. For brushes, I am a very big fan of the Princeton Neptune Series and Kolibri Brushes. For more painting videos like this one go to my youtube channel.
Hi everyone spring is almost here and so are the art shows! I will be posting our show schedule for the year soon, so please look for it. We know our first show will be at Allentown Art Festival in downtown Buffalo New York on June 11th & 12th. This past winter we have been working on ideas of what to put our art work on in addition to canvas. I would like to share with you what we have come up with so far. The idea was to have our artwork wrapped around a candle holder. We knew using a real candle would be difficult so we switched out the real one for a battery operated candle on a timer. This timer can be set for 4hrs or 8hrs to come on at a certain time everyday. The first candle holder we made was very simple and boring but we knew we were on the right track. After making the first candle holder we knew we wanted a more elegant design for the base and a larger diameter candle. So after a few adjustments in the shop we had a finalized product. We are thinking of making an electrified version using the old time Thomas Edison light bulb. The candle holders will be in the store soon so please look for them.
We are also working on a few other ideas so stay tuned! |
