Note from the Artist
Being able to go up to the Adirondacks a lot allows me to take photos of amazing animals and birds. Where we camp (Fish Creek Pond) there is a creek that leads to multiple other ponds. Along the way through this creek we've seen beaver, deer, bald eagles, loons, kingfishers, and herons. This heron was standing still when we came across it. My dad and I watched it as it stood there like a statue, a few moments later, like a snap of a finger it caught a fish. They might move slow but don't let that fool you because they are as fast as lightning.
